Impact of Russia’s Membership in WTO on the Development of the Luxury Goods Market (Clothes Market Case)

The purpose of this research was to analyze the influence of Russia's membership in the WTO on the development of the premium class commodities market (on the clothes market in particular) and also to analyze the prospects of the development of such market in conditions of Russia's membership in the WTO.Several tasks were set in this work:- to analyze the consequences of Russia's membership in the WTO and the influence of this membership on the Russian national economy;- to analyze the effect of Russia's membership in the WTO to the development of the premium class commodities sphere;- to analyze the prospects of the development of the premium class clothes market in Russia.As a result of the research several conclusions were made:- Russia's membership in the World Trade Organization positively affects the national economy (the growth of both imports and exports, the expansion of trade opportunities and trade relations);- Russia's membership in the World Trade Organization positively affects the development of the premium class clothes market (the growth of sales volumes, the expansion of the commodity range, the takeover of new technologies from the foreign partners, etc.);- in the future the premium class clothes market will grow and extend; today many Russian designers are already on sale on an equal basis with the famous import brands on the domestic market.
