Decision-Making Support Using the ELECTRE Methods

This paper is devoted to studying decision-making methods peculiarities. Research subjects of current paper are certain Russian banks. Research topic is analytical justification of a decision-making support concerning bank investment appealingness. Research goal consists in making recommendations upon prioritizing Russian banks as investment objects using ELECTRE methods.Tasks of the research are as follows:1) to form a set of criteria for bank activity outranking;2) to assess the values of criteria at the end of 2014;3) to execute the outranking procedure using ELECTRE methods;4) to compare results acquired via various methods. Within the bounds of current paper mathematical models were built of ELECTRE Iv, ELECTRE II, ELECTRE III, a new approach to criteria construction based on data of consolidated statements was offered, multicriteria bank assessment task was formulated and solved and ELECTRE methods peculiarities were revealed in relation to setting preference relations between alternative banks. Upon acquiring research results recommendations concerning bank preferences were formulated.
