This study focuses on changes in radio station websites, in terms of content flowing across multiple media platforms. The theme is rather topical because the way how terrestrial radio adapts to the digital age is unique. In contrast to television and press, radio, initially, dispose of only the sound. Furthermore, American media managers were the first, who formed main principles of merging both terrestrial and web radio.</p><p style="margin-left:-14.2pt;">&nbsp;</p><p style="margin-left:-14.2pt;">The <strong>object</strong> of the following research is various online-versions of Russian and American talk radio stations.</p><p style="margin-left:-14.2pt;">&nbsp;</p><p style="margin-left:-14.2pt;">The <strong>subject</strong> of the study is a correlation between unique approaches and adoptions from foreign analogues in the process of media convergence in Russian radio broadcasting.</p><p style="margin-left:-14.2pt;">&nbsp;</p><p style="margin-left:-14.2pt;">The <strong>aim</strong> of this graduation paper is to determine differences in content formation between online-versions of Russian and American talk radio stations, and prove that technology merging in Russia had its own peculiarities.</p><p style="margin-left:-14.2pt;">&nbsp;</p><p style="margin-left:-14.2pt;">The main <strong>method</strong> is a comparative analysis. For describing transformations of both broadcasting systems, the data will be collected from free Internet Archive Wayback Machine. This is a resource, which saves web pages of sites at different times. According to received images, it is possible to fix developing stages of the website interface and estimate the ratio between adopted and original programming strategies. Basic principles of multimedia<a href="#_ftn1" name="_ftnref1" title="">[1]</a> are chosen as criteria for comparison.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p style="margin-left:-14.2pt;">The graduation paper is divided into three parts. The first chapter describes the American system of radio broadcasting and developing stages of radio websites&nbsp; transforming in the USA. In this part, the main factors that affect radio development in this country are mentioned. The second chapter is devoted to the evolution of online-versions of talk radio in the USA. The second chapter provides a description of the principal stages of radio broadcasting in Russia and reveals the problem of media convergence in Russia. The last chapter is practical and devoted to analysis online-versions of Russian and American talk radio stations in purpose to find differences and similarities.</p><p style="margin-left:-14.2pt;">&nbsp;</p><p style="margin-left:-14.2pt;">According to the conducted analysis, Russian media convergence in radio broadcasting was mainly passed by the strategy of adoption from American experience. However the borrowing was not total. Redirecting to the new strategies of content &ldquo;re-handling&rdquo; was fast enough and fashion-oriented, there was no understanding of audience requirements, market peculiarities.
