<p align="center"><strong>Annotation to the research paper</strong></p><p align="center"><strong>On the theme:</strong> The Usage of Social Networks by Russian Mass Media: Trends and Challenges</p><p align="right">Faculty of Media Communications</p><p align="right">Fourth-year student, group 445:</p><p align="right">Yanina A.A.</p><p align="right">Scientific supervisor:</p><p align="right">Telen&nbsp; L. O.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>The content</strong> of this research paper is 111 pages which are also include 26 illustrations and one table.<br />I used 63 sources when I wrote my research paper.</p><p><strong>Object of the research is </strong>the interaction between professional online mass media and social networking services: Facebook, Twitter, VKontakte, Instagram.</p><p><strong>Subject of the research are </strong>methods and approaches used by professional mass media for effective interaction with social networking services, addressing various issues: from information search to an adjustment of the target audience, from content promotion to media experiments.</p><p><strong>Purpose of graduation paper </strong>is to reveal main trends and problems of interaction between mass media and social networking services, as well as to evaluate their integration perspective.</p><p>&nbsp;These <strong>tasks</strong> were fulfilled in order to achieve the set goal:</p><ol><li>To study posts of certain mass media and users in social networking services in official groups of mass media;</li><li>To reveal principles of work of mass media in specific accounts, which are created in different social networking services, considering their specificity;</li><li>To analyze typical schemes of work of mass media in social networking services;</li><li>To describe trends which will be revealed while analysis</li><li>To determine problems faced by professional mass media in the context of interaction with social networking services.</li><li>To analyze the experience of the RAIN TV Channel in its interaction with the social networks of different types.</li><li>To write the forecast continued partnership of the RAIN TV Channel with social networks.</li></ol><p><strong>Methods</strong> employed while writing of the graduation paper are observation, analysis, comparison, monitoring, expert survey.</p><p><strong>In the first chapter</strong> I reveal the concept of social networks, features of their audience, content and communication.</p><p><strong>In the second chapter</strong> I give a theoretical justification of the creation of media accounts in social networks, describe forms of interaction professional media with social networks, and reveal the concept of interactivity.</p><p><strong>In the third chapter</strong> I do a practical work on the theme on the example of the RAIN TV Channel. In this chapter analyzes the audience and content of this channel, its work in social networks on the example of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and VKontakte, reveal the scheme of interaction of journalists and users, peculiarities of material supply and distribution of material. In the output of practical chapter I describe the main problems in the work of channel with social networks, as well as a forecast of development in this area for the future.<br /><strong>Conclusion </strong>of the research paper is devoted to resumes about the major trends and issues of interaction of the media and social networks.
