Organization Development On The Basis Of Its Strategic Analysis

<p>Overall, the research problem is in approval, that management of organization must evaluate its activities to invest in the most profitable and promising directions. Strategic analysis is an effective solution to many problematic aspects in organization policy. The main function of strategic analyzes - reorganization of limited organization resources into the most efficient spheres.</p><p>The purpose of this paper is to compose a strategic analysis of organization, and to identify possible ways of organizational development. Accordingly, research objectives will be following:</p><p>1) Study of the total process of strategic planning.</p><p>2) Consideration of the basic techniques, concepts and principles of strategic analysis.</p><p>3) Conducting strategic analysis of the selected organization.</p><p>4) Detection of priority spheres of organization development.</p><p>In the practical part of this work we will proceed to analyze the environment of determined organization, will mark the level of competition in the industry, will analyze market policy, risks and current situation in the organization. This information is required to begin strategic analysis process. The final product of the strategic analysis can transform organization structure and improve essential spheres. Therefore, significance of the study is clear for business practices: restructuring of organization with a help of strategic analysis will reduce all kinds of costs in organization, in other words: it will raise organization profit levels.</p><p>The methodology of the study was to spend five consecutive stages of strategic analysis, which were identified by the different authors in earlier studies. Various analysis tools will be used in order to systematize the obtained data.</p><p>In the first stage we will analyze the competitive environment of the organization. This analysis has two main goals: to determine the degree of attractiveness of a particular sector of the economy based on the average return on investment, as well as the calculation of the key success factors in the market which is necessary to ensure the survival of the organization. BCG matrix will be used to implement this step. This method will assess the relevance of the investigated product on the market.</p><p>In the second stage overall strategic preferences, assumptions or, otherwise, &quot;activity area&quot; of the organization will be analyzed. Occupation of each organization is different, because of difference within resources (including staff) and technology. Each of these areas of activity has unique success factors, which need to be identified in this paper. SWOT analysis will be used to implement this step. This method allows to conduct a comprehensive organizational analysis procedure.</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Another important aspect of the study is organizational structure analysis. Organization concerned will be divided into several homogeneous parts - strategic segments. Each segment will get individual tasks, this step will help to evaluate existing organizational strategies, and also perform a comparative assessment of the situation in the company.</p><p>The aim of the next step is to define organizational mission and goals. That step consists of three main sub-processes:</p><p>- The definition of organizational mission, which, in concentrated form, expresses the purpose of the company and the meaning of its existence;</p><p>- the definition of long-term goals. Targets are usually associated with competition in the long term period and the establishment of appropriate competitive advantages;</p><p>- the definition of short-term organizational goals, or otherwise, the goals established for strategic segments.</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The last steps &ndash; choice of development strategy, and search of perspective ways of enterprise development. At this stage, all received information will be analyzed and summarized during the study process, a viable organization development strategy will be offered.</p>
