Mentoring in the Commercialization Process of Innovative Projects

<p>The idea to create mentoring movement and to form rules already fully matured among the participants of the Russian innovation community. Some of the facts show this, for example, company&quot; RVC&quot; intends to develop a special program of certification experts , as well as a partnership with the Association of Independent Directors, which may become the &quot;supplier&quot; of mentors.</p><p>In 2011, a study of innovative companies was conducted, which showed that two thirds of respondents are the most popular services to promote the company to 43.3% - the company&#39;s product promotion services. It suggests that these tasks on their own company are not able to solve. Services related to ensuring the company operations are of interest to a smaller group of respondents. Consequently, employees of small innovative companies are experts in technology and production, but they lack skills in other aspects of business (marketing, legal support, human resources, financial support). It leads to need to provide these services to innovative projects in another way. A new way of interaction of innovative companies to promote the company and its products can be mentoring. Thus, the relevance of the work is based on the needs of companies in consultation mentor and intention of the State to organize a system of mentoring.</p><p>The aim of this paper is to develop an algorithm for the formation of a pool of mentor&rsquo;s business incubator.</p><p>In this work we investigated the theoretical and methodological framework of the process of mentoring, based on Russian and foreign experience, to elucidate the role of mentoring in the incubation system innovation projects, discusses the history of mentoring, both in Russia and abroad. It is also widely considered the concept of mentoring, functions that include this concept and its difference from similar terms &quot;coaching&quot; and &quot;consulting&quot; in the work are the benefits of mentoring in the development of an innovative project from both the prot&eacute;g&eacute; and the mentor side. Also in the process of gradually painted determine the need for mentor training and to interact with them. Typology was composed of foreign programs interact with a mentor.</p><p>We have compiled algorithm pooling mentors, which includes five basic steps:</p><p>&bull; Identification of needs</p><p>&bull; Find mentors</p><p>&bull; Formation of a pool of mentors</p><p>&bull; Distribution of project teams</p><p>&bull; The first meeting of the mentor and the project team.</p><p>Also we identified the criteria for making the algorithm pool of mentors. Analysis of the criteria that must meet a mentor showed that the main characteristics of a mentor after his admission into various programs incubation projects cover seven main areas:</p><p>1. Education;</p><p>2. Experience;</p><p>3. Age;</p><p>4. The number of consultations;</p><p>5. Degree of involvement in the process;</p><p>6. Mentor status is currently;</p><p>7. Business results.</p><p>Based on criteria identified in the study was conducted semi-structured interview format. Interviews were conducted among residents of &quot;Nizhny Novgorod innovative business incubator&quot; sample consisted of 17 people. The study was conducted in order to identify the most important criteria in forming a pool of mentors, as well as a preferred embodiment of these criteria.</p><p>According to the results of the study were the following data. Mentor, pretending to work with the project team must have the following criteria:</p><p>&bull; Economic or technical higher education;</p><p>&bull; Successful business experience;</p><p>&bull; Age from 30 to 50 years;</p><p>&bull; be able to give the project team a little time with frequent meetings;</p><p>&bull; Ability to identify key areas of activity;</p><p>&bull; Acting consultant or entrepreneur with a successful business experience;</p><p>&bull; Availability of the property or business ownership experience average.</p><p>The practical significance of the work is the application of systematic theoretical data in it and set out the results of analysis of practical experience and interaction systems mentor project teams. Developed an algorithm to a pool of mentors can be used to organize a mentoring program at the State University &quot;Nizhny Novgorod innovative business incubator &quot; in particular and other business incubators region and the country in general .</p>
