Improving the System of Staff Motivation in the Company «Human Resources»

<p>This master thesis covers one of the most actual problem in management - the problem of staff motivation. This problem was studied on the example of the company &laquo;Human Resources&raquo; which deals with the staff recruitment and trainings for personnel.</p><p>The objective of this research is improvement of employee motivation in the company &laquo;Human Resources&raquo;.</p><p>In accordance with the purpose of the study the following tasks were determined:</p><p>1. To conduct theoretical analysis of the literature on the topic of research.</p><p>2. To develop diagnostic system to identify features of the system of staff motivation in the company &laquo;Human Resources&raquo;.</p><p>3. To identify the features of the system of staff motivation in the company &laquo;Human Resources&raquo;.</p><p>4.&nbsp; To formulate recommendations to improve the motivation of the personnel in the company &laquo;Human Resources&raquo;.</p><p>Research methods:</p><p>&bull; Theoretical tasks of the research solved by the analysis and synthesis of the scientific literature.</p><p>&bull; Research of the features of staff motivation system in the company &laquo;Human Resources&raquo; performed using diagnostic system developed by the authors and analysis of documentation.</p><p>&bull; The mathematical treatment of the results of research carried out by the methods of descriptive statistics using specialized software for information processing &laquo;SPSS Statistics (Version 17)&raquo;.</p><p>The research was conducted in three phases:</p><p>I. Researching of employee motivation system in the company &laquo;Human Resources&raquo; by analyzing the documentation. The documents used for the analysis:</p><p>1. Regulation &laquo;About the material incentives for the staff&raquo;;</p><p>2. Regulation &laquo; About the non-material motivation of the staff&raquo;.</p><p>II. Questioning of employees who are working in the company &laquo;Human Resources&raquo;, in order to analyze the features of perceptual by employees their motives of professional activity.</p><p>III. Interview with employees who resigned from the company &laquo;Human Resources&raquo;. Purpose of the interview is researching of perception by dismissed employees features of the system of motivation in the company &laquo;Human Resources&raquo;.</p><p>The research of the features of the motivation system in &laquo;Human Resources&raquo; showed following results:</p><p>1. Significance of the motives of professional activity for employees, who are working in the company &laquo;Human Resources&raquo; is following:</p><p>1st place. Wages,</p><p>2nd place. Possibility of professional self-realization,</p><p>3rd place. Professional development in the company,</p><p>4th place. Relationships with colleagues,</p><p>5th place. Attitude of the leadership,</p><p>6th place. Significance of the work,</p><p>7th place. Working conditions,</p><p>8th place. Contents of the work,</p><p>9th place. Social package.</p><p>2. Employees &laquo;Human Resources&raquo; are most satisfied:</p><p>&bull; Relationships with colleagues,</p><p>&bull; Working conditions,</p><p>&bull; Attitude of the leadership.</p><p>Employees are least satisfied:</p><p>&bull; Social package,</p><p>&bull; Wages,</p><p>&bull; Possibility of professional self-realization.</p><p>3. Personnel motivation system in the company &laquo;Human Resources&raquo; has the following main positive points by the opinion of dismissed employees:</p><p>&bull; The team (72.73% indicated this point)</p><p>&bull; Indispensable experience (54.55% said it)</p><p>4. Among the reasons for the dismissal respondents highlighted the following:</p><p>&bull; Dissatisfaction with wages (68.18% indicated this reason)</p><p>&bull; Lack of development prospects (40.91% said it)</p><p>5. The company has two problem areas in the system of motivation of professional activity:</p><p>1. Wages,</p><p>2. Possibility of professional self-realization.</p><p>Authors of this research suggested ​recommendations to improve the system of motivation of employees in the company &laquo;Human Resources&raquo; based on the results of a study. Moreover, economic efficiency of these proposals was calculated.</p><p>&nbsp; Economic calculations have shown that the proposed measures to improve staff motivation system are less expensive for the company than its loss from a high turnover of staff in the company.</p>
