Educational Programme: Bachelor

Year of Graduation: 2014

The question about how the M&A deal influences values of the companies involved is rather controversial and dependent on the set of external and internal conditions. When we speak about the IT companies, the problem becomes even more complicated – there still isn't an absolutely reliable method of forecasting the economic future of any definite technology or hi-tech in a whole. The paper considers theoretical and practical sides of creating value in the process of mergers and acquisitions in the IT sphere. Theoretical part examines how can be additional value generated in the M&A deal and also includes the overview of the methods of estimation this value. The empirical part refers to the number of M&A cases and clarifies the general trend.
