Interactive Application for Learning Basic Writing and Calculating on iOS Platform

<p>Report 42 p., 3 chapters, 20 fig., 1 table, 21 sources, 4 append.</p><p>Key words: learning writing, learning calculating, iOS, calligraphy, multiplication table, handwriting recognition, educational game.</p><p>This paper considers the development of the application &ndash; game for learning calligraphy and arithmetic for kids studying at primary school and preschool children.</p><p>The general purpose of this work is to develop an application for iOS platform that supports Russian language.</p><p>During this work, existing educational applications for this platform were examined and compared. Training materials for learning multiplication table were developed based on the mnemotechnical methods. Methods for learning basic writing were implemented using linear and copying methods. This paper presents their description and also a description of other existing methods for training writing skills. The answers for mathematical exercises are entered in handwritten form, so the processes of training writing skills and training calculating skills are closely connected. The paper deals with modern technologies of optical character recognition, their advantages and disadvantages.</p><p>An application for learning basic writing and calculating on iOS platform was developed.</p>
