Space plays a central role over a wide range of human activities. Space activities are a great promoter of knowledge, technological development and growth, from an economic as well as a societal point of view. These fields of activity include security, environmental protection, energy supply, natural resource exploitation and transport management among others.

In spite of its importance, the role of space in a wide number of activities on Earth remains even today largely unknown to the public. In addition, lack of study of the space industry and the lack of a comparison between space-faring countries do not allow the development of a competitive.

To deal with this problem, some economic and statistical methods of regression, cluster analysis were used.

Nowadays it is impossible to imagine modern life without space technology. However, space activity requires large investments of funds. This industry is highly risky that in case of failure entails, large losses.

Despite the expensiveness of launches, commercial launches not only pay off, but also bring financial benefits. The results of space activities enable more efficiently solving the problem of security, transport, weather forecasting, agriculture than terrestrial means. And some activity is impossible without satellites.

Modern society cannot imagine life without its existence, mobile phones, TV, navigation. Therefore, constant updating of the satellite constellation and improve the quality of services is inevitable. Even in times of economic crisis (2008) space-faring nations, including Russia continued funding the space launches. This unique space activities cause unusual approaches in analysis of economics profits. One of the most promising problems seems to deal with analyzing the financial benefits of space activities for different areas.

The main objectives of this study is a statistical analysis of the financing of space programs economically developed and developing countries. Analysis of income from space activities. And also to identify factors and their relationship with the successful launch in Russia. In addition, the model was built to predict the number of emergency launch vehicles for the global industry.

As a research tool used methods of analysis and forecasting of time series ARIMA, the method of expert estimates, the principal component analysis, etc. For information, processing and calculations used statistical analysis software packages: Microsoft Excel, IBM SPSS Statistics 21. Authors' analysis is based on the approach proposed European Space Policy Institute and Satellite industry association.
