The impact of corporate news on the price of shares on the stock market

<p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: tahoma, arial, verdana, sans-serif, 'Lucida Sans'; font-size: 11px; line-height: 16.5px;">This paper examines the relationship between changes in the information content of earnings with stock returns for Russian stock market. The purpose of the study is to test the hypothesized information content of management forecasts through the examination of the common stock price behavior, which accompanied the voluntary disclosure of 648 forecasts and announcements of annual earnings per share during the years 2011-2014.&nbsp;</span><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: tahoma, arial, verdana, sans-serif, 'Lucida Sans'; font-size: 11px; line-height: 16.5px;">The object of study is dynamics of prices on the Russian stock market.&nbsp;</span><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: tahoma, arial, verdana, sans-serif, 'Lucida Sans'; font-size: 11px; line-height: 16.5px;">The subject of this investigation is analysis of the influence of different corporate events on the value of the company and separately assess the impact of positive and negative news on the behaviour of stock prices.</span></p>
