<p>The present research is aimed to set forth possible philosophical sources for Voegelin&rsquo;s philosophy of history. This work aimed to underline the main foundations of the political philosopher Eric Voegelin, his understanding of the role and the specific features of political science and political knowledge and to identify the main ideas of political philosopher Eric Voegelin, presented in the &quot;New science of politics&quot;, especially, to identify and analyze the &ldquo;gnosticism problem&rdquo;.</p>
