This paper presents the results of empirical testing of short-term and long-term effects of changes of world prices and world trade regulation on the internal Russian prices of export and import goods. The hypotheses, formulated in the theoretical part are tested. In the research data for 19 export and 9 import goods were used. Data on domestic and world prices have been taken from the state statistics committee. Tariffs of trade barriers were collected through Customs Tariff. The time period is from January 1999 to November 2013. The results confirmed the hypothesis of the long-term effect about convergence of world and domestic prices. In the short-term the hypothesis about positive relationship of import tariff barriers and domestic prices of import goods is confirmed. The hypothesis about positive relationship of import tariffs and domestic prices of export goods in case of imperfect competition is confirmed. In the research the cases of imperfect competition on the domestic markets of several import goods were identified.
