Improvement of Public Export Credit Insurance

Nowadays in Russia is dominated economy with resource of raw materials, which makes it dependent on external factors. Accession to the WTO promotes the domestic economy and changes in the structure of exports towards non-oil export. The concept of long-term socio-economic development of Russia until 2020 provides support of Russian industrial exports as large enterprises, small and medium-sixed businesses. In accordance with the global trend in Russia was established specialized organization for export credit insurance taking into account international experience.Master`s thesis consisits of two parts. The first part discusses the theoretical basis of export credit insurance and export credit insurance practices in foreign countries and Russia. The second part is devoted to the analysis of the needs of Russian exporters as well as regression analysis was performed, showing the factors that affect the approval or denial of coverage to the exporter. Finally, the recommendations will be made to facilitate the improvement of public export credit insurance in Russia.
