Management of personnel adaptation (Case of Marriott Grand Hotel)

<p>Master Thesis presents the results of the research of contemporary issues of adaptation in hospitality. Also, have been studied the factors, which have a significant impact to the new employees&rsquo; adaptation process.</p><p>The transformation of personnel management system is acquiring a huge importance, because the effectiveness of the workforce depends on the quality of the entire hotel. It is undoubtedly that the main feature of the hotel business is that its competitiveness is determined by the level of training and staff qualification. Exactly he personnel of the hotel influences on the impression remaining with the client &ndash; positive or negative. Therefore, the need of development of functional systems of adaptation is an actual measure for improvement the quality of service.</p><p>The purpose of this work is &ndash; studying the personnel adaptation features in the organizations. The main task set by the author in the course of the work is to form the list of the factors, having essential impact on the adaptation process of hotel staff in the new workplace, and studying the concept of adaptation, its types and stages.</p><p>For obtaining answers and achievements of objectives in this research the following methods will be used: the analysis of the documents, questioning, linear distribution by the received results of questioning, the factorial analysis of the data.</p><p>As a result of research which was conducted among the staff of Marriott Grand hotel, it turned out to create a number of factors which are most significant in the course of adaptation to the new workplace according to the hotel workers, namely: microclimate in the team; career growth; conditions of work; existence of conflicts; specificity of performance professional duties; difficulties in work; adaptation to the living conditions.</p><p>Also, based on conclusions from theoretical base and practical research of the personnel adaptation features in the hotel, it was succeeded to develop some recommendations about its improvement, mentioning both modernization conditions of work, and ways in removing the psychological stress and the professional development.</p>
