Moreover, in some cases situation become even worse.

The main purpose of this thesis is an identification of core factors, which should define requirements for PMIS for its acceptance by users.

For the achievement of that goal in the first chapter of this paper literature review was made for resolving following tasks:

The position of PMIS in enterprise project management system (EPMS) was defined;

Factors with the positive influence on PMIS acceptance and correlation between them were revealed;

The modern classifications of PMIS were reviewed;

The investigation of PMIS’ selection criteria was conducted.

In the second chapter of this dissertation there were executed several different tasks:

On the base of literature review the systematization of factors concerned with requirements for PMIS was done;

A set of primary factors related to PMIS requirement development was revealed;

The analysis of resemblance between initial and eventual requirements was carried out;

The investigation of the degree of PMIS usage effectiveness in respondent’s organizations was made.

The third part of this dissertation is associated with the development of practical recommendations for PMIS implementation factors identification. Also, there was rather revealed decreased level of effectiveness of PMIS utilization in respondent’s companies.

The outcomes mentioned above confirmed the hypothesis about the connection among poor degree of PMIS acceptance and the lack correspondence between initial and eventual requirements.

In the course of practical recommendations development there was established that in addition to factors considered before there is another point of view on this theme, related to personnel as future PMIS users. There was revealed that motivation, control and the risk of expertise missing also influence on success of PMIS acceptance.

Finally, the concluding result of this paper is generalized model. This model contains two groups of factors. The first one is composed of factors concerned with the requirements for the implementation of PMIS. The second one is related to interactions with personnel of the organization.
