Time-management in FEA projects

<p>Executed work was devoted to study problems in time management projects of foreign economic activity and to search methods of solutions for base of Russian trading company.</p><p>The purpose of this dissertation is to adapt the methodology to control the timing of production, transportation, customs clearance , warehousing and distribution projects in the foreign trade.</p><p>To fulfill the objectives planned to perform the following tasks:</p><p>1. Study and generalize the theoretical framework for project management in international trade</p><p>2. Conduct a review of management practices and tools in terms of projects Russian companies involved in foreign trade. It requires conducting a survey on the use of tools and methods to control the timing of projects in the Russian logistics companies as well as companies that supply goods from abroad, structuring and compile information received in order to identify problems in project management organizations engaged in foreign trade activities</p><p>3. To develop a methodological framework for time management of projects to the specifics of foreign economic activity, to develop on its basis recommendations and check them in the current trading company.</p><p>Contextual analysis of Russian and foreign scientific publications was a method of research in the theoretical part. To use questionnaires among retail and logistics companies as well as interviews with experts in the supply of goods from abroad and outsourcing FEA was conducted in the practical part of the survey.</p><p>Recommendations based and consisting of identifying and analyzing the three main risks on the study were developed:</p><p>1. Foreign counterparty risk of default of its obligations</p><p>2. Unpredictability of customs clearance</p><p>3. The risk of &quot;human factor&quot;</p><p>To minimize the risk of the latter has developed three specific proposals:</p><p>1. Implement a Gantt chart in CRM system</p><p>2. Apply GTD system</p><p>3. Implement Earned Value Technique</p><p>All three recommendations were applied on the basis of Standard Trade ( LLC &quot;Standard&quot; ) . This has resulted in 13.5 % reduction in losses from the failure of projects in terms of the company, served as the object of study and the estimated savings of 10.1 % gross margin in the other organizations involved in the supply of goods from abroad. Given that 26% of respondents in the survey cited the cause of this phenomenon lack of adequate systems and methodologies in the organization, then we can talk about almost 50 % increase in the quality of project management culture in the organization.</p>
