In today’s world there are numbers of universities’ rankings where the ones are ranked due to different criteria. In graduation project the most popular world university ratings such as Webometrics and Times Higher Education World University Ranking were analyzed. Examining of advantages and disadvantages of the proposed methods of ranking has shown that one of the criteria of Webometrics could be substantially improved. It consists of ranking universities due to the number of files in public access on the web-site of each university.

The aim of the graduation project is to analyze documents that are placed at the Internet-sites of fifteen Russian universities. Each document is characterized by the vector of features which include key classification words that were found while analyzing existing documents on the sites.

With the help of the program the classifier was taught on the test sample and checked by the cross-validation method. As a result every university was described by a vector of doles of scientific, academic and administrative literature on the web-site.

Finally. it was retrieved that the study filling structure of university Internet-resources is direct proportional to the university’s ranking place. The universities’ clastering by the filling structure is almost identical to the clastering by “leading”, “average” and “weak” universities. The detailed illustration and discussion of the proposed results are presented.
