Value of organizational project management

<p>In today&#39;s world, every company aims to be competitive in its working area and to increase its profit regarding previous reporting periods of time. For now, a large number of companies use project management as a way of doing their business. However, not all the firms realize that project management implementation will make (or making) their business more effective.</p><p>And then the questions is, how to evaluate whether the project to evaluate whether the project was successful or failed. Furthermore, nowadays due to growing complexity of the projects, increasing the degree of environmental uncertainty and other factors the transition from the understanding the project success as compliance the triple constraint and high amount of ROI to more complex evaluation. For this purpose, over the past few years value-oriented approach is discussing in scientific professional community. The key concepts of this approach are project and project management value. And with these concepts the successfulness of the project and project management in companies could be evaluated.</p><p>The purpose of this work is to investigate value-oriented approach in project management, in particular its application in implementation of enterprise project management system, and to work out the methodology of this implementation using value-oriented approach.</p><p>This purpose was achieved by the following tasks. Firstly, the key concepts of value-oriented approach and the existing approaches to determine the enterprise project management system value have been studied. The chosen issue is very timely, that is why there is a large number of papers dedicated to it. However, due to the review of scientific literature there is no consensus on what exactly meant by the values of project and enterprise project management system and how to evaluate them.</p><p>Secondly, in order to investigate the level of popularity and applicability of key postulates of value-based approach on practice the small study between questioning project management specialists was carried out. This study also showed the importance of value-oriented approach application in enterprise project management system implementation projects for its success. Besides, the study gave the opportunity to determine the components of enterprise project management value, which formed the basis of developed methodology to evaluate it.</p><p>As a result for literature review and the investigation the enterprise project management implementation methodology based on value-oriented approach was worked out. This methodology contains also the enterprise project management system value evaluation procedure.</p><p>Thus, the developed methodology enables companies to implement an enterprise project management system more successful, taking into account various factors that significantly affect in a positive way on the company&rsquo;s market position.</p>
