<p align="center">Abstract of graduate qualification work of second year master&rsquo;s student of the Faculty of Management of Higher School of Economics</p><p align="center">Lyktypova Soelma Lodoevna</p><p align="center">&laquo;Migrant domestic workers: socio-demographic structure and characteristics of labor relations&raquo;</p><p align="center">Scientific supervisor &ndash; Varshavskaya Elena Yakovlevna,</p><p align="center">Professor, Doctor of Economics</p><p align="center">Department of Human Resource Management</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The research is relevant due to the fact that in recent years domestic work has increased dramatically, and as a result of the global labor migration, the proportion of migrants in this area is very high.</p><p>Object of research - domestic workers - migrants working in Russia.</p><p>Subject of research - Socio - demographic composition and characteristics of labor relations of domestic workers - migrants in Russia.</p><p>The purpose of the research is to analyze and compare the socio-demographic composition and characteristics of employment of domestic workers - migrants with migrants of other areas of employment.</p><p>Research objectives:</p><p style="margin-left:50.2pt;">o&nbsp;&nbsp; Describe the existing approaches to the analysis of domestic workers;</p><p style="margin-left:50.2pt;">o&nbsp;&nbsp; Analyze and summarize the scale and characteristics of domestic workers in Russia and abroad;</p><p style="margin-left:50.2pt;">o&nbsp;&nbsp; Analyze the socio - demographic composition of domestic workers in Russia;</p><p style="margin-left:50.2pt;">o&nbsp;&nbsp; Identify the characteristics of labor relations of migrant domestic workers in Russia.</p><p>The empirical base of the study - an analysis of quantitative research and structured interviews.</p><p>The results of the research are as follows:</p><p style="margin-left:50.2pt;">1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The main theoretical approaches and researches of the domestic worker&rsquo;s labor were analyzed;&nbsp;</p><p style="margin-left:50.2pt;">2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The socio &ndash; demographic profile of migrant domestic workers in Russia was identified: they usually come from countries with close cultural distance, have good command of the Russian language, the vast majority of domestic workers - women aged with a high level of education;</p><p style="margin-left:50.2pt;">3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Were identified characteristics of employment of domestic workers - migrants in Russia before coming to Russia, these workers were employed in various fields and domestic work was not planned. Typically, the employment occurred through friendship or kinship. Domestic workers work mainly in the informal sector. Remuneration and level of job satisfaction in this sector is higher than in others.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p>
