Analysis of the international methods of definition of level and quality of life of the population.

<p>Quality of life is one of the major indicators characterizing the level of development of the countries and the nations. The quality of life is a difficult complex characteristic including a set of indicators which, in turn, characterize the possibility of the person to work in good conditions, to have worthy welfare, to study, to receive high-quality medical care, to live in good conditions, to breathe clean air and to drink clean water, to have possibility of access to cultural values, to carry out activities in safe conditions, etc.</p><p>Our welfare directly depends on the correct social policy of the state which, in turn, depends on, whether there is enough information and as far as it fully shows problems in modern society. The orientation and rates of further transformations in many respects depends on the solution of problems of level and quality of life in the country and, eventually, political, and, therefore, and economic stability in society. The solution of these problems demands the certain policy developed by the state. In the center of this policy there has to be a person, his welfare, physical and social health. It is known that the level and quality of life are influenced by so many factors what sometimes to define how actually there live people in this or that country very difficult. But there is one global indicator, which is obvious to all, is an average life expectancy. Thanks to it, it is possible to speak with confidence, in what country people live very well, and in what country drag miserable existence.</p><p>The concepts of quality and a standard of living are studied in this work. The international practice of using and studying, the results of the comparative analysis of the countries are presented. The states are compared among themselves on indicators of level and quality of life as HDI and average life expectancy are in more detail studied. The part of work is taken away for studying of quality of life in the territory of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, by questioning of locals regarding their satisfaction with existing living conditions. Work contains various charts, schedules and the tables which are visually showing described processes.</p><p>Thus studying of level and quality of life of the population is an important problem of world economy. The results received at this research help to estimate an economic and social level of development of the country. Therefore all transformations which, anyway, can cause change of a standard of living, are very essential for politicians, economists and sociologists.&nbsp;</p>
