Product concept development on the event tourism market

<p>Event tourism represents a type of cultural tourism which is aimed at attending destination point where some social event is held.</p><p>Currently, event tourism is one of the most perspective and fast-growing segments of tourist market. Attendance of events by tourists constantly increases all over the world. At the same time individualization of customers and increase in variability of options are also growing based on which tourist product development process is getting more and more necessary and sophisticated. However, despite of importance of the topic, there are still gaps in research of certain issues regarding development of tourist products, especially in Russia, which ones more demonstrates topicality of the research.</p><p>Furthermore, Russian tourist market has a very weak supply of event tours from tourist companies when comparing to western (european and american) tourist companies which provide customers with a vast option of various worldwide tourist events.</p><p>Based on the aforementioned, topicality of research of development of a concept of tourist product on event tourism market stands of a prime importance since there are currently strong theoretical and practical needs in scientific research of the topic.</p><p>The main goal of the work is a development of a concept of tourist product on event tourism market.</p><p>Object of the research is an event tourism market.</p><p>Subject of the research are tourist products on event tourism market.</p><p>For satisfaction of goals set there has been met the following tasks:</p><p style="margin-left:28.55pt;">1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; research of theoretical approaches used in development of tourist products concepts and their traits on event tourism market;</p><p style="margin-left:28.55pt;">2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; analysis of worldwide and Russian tourism markets including event tourism market;</p><p style="margin-left:28.55pt;">3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; analysis of preferences of Russian tourists;</p><p style="margin-left:28.55pt;">4.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; analysis of major directions of event tourism;</p><p style="margin-left:28.55pt;">5.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; research of customer&#39;s preferences on the event tourism market;</p><p style="margin-left:28.55pt;">6.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; development of a concept of tourism product on event tourism market.</p><p>The structure of the work based on the priority of the tasks. The research consists of introduction part, three main parts, conclusion, bibliography.</p><p>The first main part covers theoretical peculiarities of tourist product and concepts of tourist product, peculiar traits of cultural and event tourism, as well as formation process of a concept of tourist product on event tourism market.</p><p>Second part contains analysis of worldwide and Russian tourist markets as well as analysis of preferences of Russian tourists traveling abroad.</p><p>The third part describes the design of the research, it also summarizes the results of the research of major event directions and results of the survey by questionnaire which has been held among Russian tourists in May 2014Thus, there has been defined portrait of Russian tourists interested in purchase of abroad event tours and their preferences regarding formation processes of event tours. In the result there has been also developed a concept of tourist product based on the example of event tour to the Electric Picnic fest which is commonly held in Ireland.</p><p>Graduation paper contains 137&nbsp; pages including 4 applications on 9 pages.&nbsp;</p>
