In Barry Nalebuff’s analysis the most attention has been paid to the subject of asymmetric equilibria cases in war of attrition models. It was found that there exists a continuum of equilibria. Since that time a number of research works has been published which consider special war of attrition model variations and their applications in different spheres. In this paper, we present an overview of these articles and provide a more extensive description of some asymmetric equilibria features, for example, we perform a comparison of equilibria strategies in terms of piece probability in the nuclear war deterrence model of Barry Nalebuff (1986). As the main result, it appears that in this model asymmetric equilibria cases are more beneficial for the players. Beside that we present the visualization of equilibria strategies for some probability distribution functions.
