Annotation to the master's degree work «The influence of motivation to get the second higher education on its effectiveness».The study considers the problem of the efficiency of the 2nd higher education. The respondents started the programme in 2007, specialty "Finance and credit", specialization "Financial markets and financial engineering” and received diplomas in 2010. The research sample was divided into 2 motivational group. The first group included people who had decided to get new profession. The second group included people, who were quite successful in their profession and didn't plan to radically change it. ResultsThe 3rd Chapter "Analysis of the research results" gives a socio-demographic profile of an individual, entering the programme of the 2nd higher education. The respondents of the study were devided into 2 large motivational groups. We identified the motivational structure for each of the group as well as the effectiveness of education for each motivational factor, which was important for the respondents when entering the Academy. The main result of the study is the confirmed fact of the influence of motivation to receive the second higher education on its effectiveness. The effectiveness of education depends on whether a student wants to change profession (to get a new one) or not (to develop within an old one). According to a number of performance criteria, the second motivational group (with no intention to radically change profession) was more successful in achieving its goals. The study proved the low efficiency of the 2nd higher education as a channel of professional mobility for those wished to radically change the profession.
