The impact of time constraints on the project team performance

<p align="center"><strong>Annotation</strong></p><p>Bachelorgraduate paper on the topic: &quot;The impact of time constraints on the project team performance&quot;.</p><p><strong>Key words</strong>: project team management, motivation, the project team performance, the psychological type of project participants, the temporal characteristics of the workplace.</p><p><strong>Object of the study</strong>:project teams&rsquo; participants in Kuppersberg and Probisnessbank companies</p><p><strong>Subject of the research</strong>: psychological characteristics of the employees, the project tasks deadlines control policy, the project team performance</p><p><strong>Purpose of the research</strong>: to identify and describe the relationship between time allocated for performing project tasks, psychological type of performers and their productivity, measured by using of the KPI method.</p><p><strong>Objectives of the study</strong>:</p><p style="margin-left:72.0pt;">1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Study of general theoretical framework for project management.</p><p style="margin-left:72.0pt;">2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Study of theoretical knowledge about the strengths and weaknesses of MBTI method.</p><p style="margin-left:72.0pt;">3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Study ofexisting theoretical methods and techniques of the project team motivation.</p><p style="margin-left:72.0pt;">4.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; To determineexisting project team selection methods.</p><p style="margin-left:72.0pt;">5.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; To explore the methods of the employees&rsquo; performance measurement in selected companies.</p><p style="margin-left:72.0pt;">6.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Identify an interconnection between the attitude of the project team participants to the terms, the allocation and control policy of the company&rsquo;s terms, and employee&rsquo;s performance in created conditions.</p><p style="margin-left:72.0pt;">7.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Develop and validate the utilityof the recommendations designed for project performance improvement.</p><p><strong>The following empirical methods was used in the study</strong></p><p style="margin-left:72.0pt;">&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Modified MBTI test (Bagrationi K. A., Reshetko S. A.)</p><p style="margin-left:72.0pt;">&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Questionnaire &quot;Temporal characteristics of the workplace,&quot; J. Schreiber and B. Gutek (abridged version)</p><p><strong>Methodology of the study</strong>:</p><p>The theoretical part of the study was the analysisof the domestic and foreign literature; the hypotheses have been put forward based on the results of this stage. The practical part of the study was to analyze the project team participants, as well as the organizations they worked for, using a modified MBTI test, questionnaire &quot;Temporal characteristics of the workplace&quot; and KPI analysis of respondents. Besides, the unstructured interview with the companies&rsquo; top-management and non-standard observation of the project team participants behavior methods were used in the research.</p><p>The main outcome of this paper is in the proof of link between employee&rsquo;sperformance and their psychological type on the dichotomy &quot;way to prepare solutions&quot; exists. Also, the proof of the fact that employees performance depends on the terms control degree in organization was not identified.</p><p>The main <strong>conclusions</strong> of this paper are:</p><p style="margin-left:72.0pt;">1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The more the employee may be characterized as &laquo;perceiving&raquo;&nbsp;<strong>lifestyle</strong> with the MBTI test (dichotomy &quot;method of preparing decisions&quot;), the lower their performance IS.</p><p>Employee productivity does not havestrong interrelation with the control policy of the terms in companies, in other words, increased attention to the terms doesn&rsquo;t mean the improvement of the project team efficiency.</p>
