Developing the corporate project management system at "Navicon" company

<p>The work concerns the theme of corporate project management system. The investigation is illustrated by the Russian consulting company The aim of the work consists of developing the guidelines for further company&rsquo;s moving to the higher maturity level. The moving is performed as a current corporate project management system upgrading. The international standards for project management, maturity models, academic papers and other scientific publications were used for the research. The theoretical analysis of different maturity models was conducted; special attention was paid to the IPMA Delta maturity model and reference model for IPMA Delta. The practical appliance of the model, consisting of three modules: Individuals, Projects, Organization was described. The information on corporate project management system and its parts (methodology, statuary documentation, processes and IT-systems for managing projects) was delivered. Also the Microsoft Dynamics Sure Step methodology, which was developed by Microsoft special for implementing the Microsoft ERP-systems, was described. For gathering the primary data the methods as interview, supervision, questionnaire were used. In the practical part of the work current situation with corporate project management system in the chosen company was investigated. The assessment of the project management maturity was conducted, basing on the IPMA Delta reference model. Each module of the model was assessed; the project management competence profile was composed. The objective project management system was described, and the gaps between current situation and objected were defined. Basing on this the recommendations on achieving the objective maturity level were developed. During the research also the theoretical results concerning the detail maturity models review and practical results concerning the analysis of current situation with corporate project management system and developing the recommendations were gained. The work results can be further used on the one hand as a review of theoretical maturity models and organizational project management, on the other hand as a business-case with the corporate project management system of Russian consulting company analysis.&nbsp;</p>
