Evaluation of promotion methods for online learning projects

<p>Over the past decade, online marketing has become a popular topic among the marketers. It rapidly overtakes the traditional marketing by applying modern technologies in the promotion. With the development of the Internet there is a new type of business &ndash; e-commerce. Nowadays the type of e-commerce such as training sites is very popular. Like many businesses the training sites are needed promotion. The topic of the study refers to the promotional methods which are used in the online marketing. The study proposes to evaluate the online promotional methods in the domain of online foreign languages learning.</p><p>The purpose of the research is to evaluate online promotional methods for online foreign languages learning services and to make recommendations for online promotion. Here are the tasks of the research:</p><p>1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; To describe online promotion methods;</p><p>2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; To examine evaluation techniques for online promotion methods;</p><p>3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; To evaluate the online promotional methods for online foreign languages learning services;</p><p>4.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; To make recommendations for online promotion of online foreign languages learning services.</p><p>The purpose of the research is going to be achieved by quantitative method of data collection, namely questionnaires in the Internet. Subject of research is the online promotion methods. Object of research, the Runet users, having an impact of Internet advertizing, and those of them who is familiar with online services for foreign languages learning and actively use these services. A total of 122 respondents participated in this research.</p><p>The findings of the research provides evaluation of online promotion methods for online foreign languages learning services. Most of users have known about online services from search engines, contextual advertizing, banners, virus marketing, &quot;guerrilla&quot; marketing, social media marketing and mobile applications. Practically such types of promotion as video marketing, bulletin board system, sponsorship have not been noticed. The most popular methods of promotion which attract active users on a site are search engines, social networks, &quot;guerrilla&quot; marketing, mobile applications. The online-service quality and opinion of friends, acquaintances and colleagues are decisive factor in order of choosing the service.</p><p>By the results of the research it is possible to draw a conclusion that the methods which assume the user searching information by itself are the most effective online promotion methods. The main recommendations for promotion of online foreign languages services is using such methods as search engines, social media marketing, contextual advertizing, writing articles, and reviews on the thematic sites. The results of the study can be applied to the promotion of online learning projects by practitioners.</p>
