Peculiarities of investment project evaluationin the field of solid waste utilization

<p>The current work is focused on 2 aspects of municipal solid waste (MSW) utilization problem in Russia. These aspects are:</p><ul><li>Necessity for developing of the complex system of MSW enterprise; determining of trends, technologies and projects for investing in development of the solid waste utilization industry.</li><li>Necessity for determining of appropriate and sufficient system of effectiveness evaluation of MSW management projects, with consideration of their economical and management features.</li></ul><p>Consequently basing on best world experience of developing and managing projects and processes in this industry in the current work analysis on problems, trends, projects and investment opportunities in the field of MSE utilization in Russia is conducted. Basing on the results main trend of projects in developing MSW industry is formulated and opportunities of realization of these programs in Russia will be examined.</p><p>Moreover most attention in the work is given to effectiveness evaluation methods of projects in the industry of solid waste utilization. Main methods, approaches and development trends of infrastructural projects effectiveness evaluation methodology will be taken into consideration.</p><p>In the practical part of the work comparative evaluation of projects related to different waste utilization technologies is conducted. These projects are waste thermal utilization facility and waste landfill. These projects are chosen for the analysis and these are the most frequently used technological alternatives of developing MSW utilization industry.</p><p>The results of the work will be presented as formulations of main trends, tendencies and projects of MSW utilization industry progress good for investing in the future and recommendations for their realization and effectiveness evaluation in Russia.</p>
