The analysis is based on the identification of the stage of the life cycle of the current organization.

Considerable attention is paid to the description of the essence of the life-cycle models, the features of I. Adizes's approach and its possible application to Russian organizations.

An attempt to apply certain provisions of the concept to the small business is made. On the example of a recruitment agency, providing recruitment and selection services for the foreign companies, the possibility of the lifecycle concept adaptation to the Russian small business is proved.

Based on the determination of the main parameters of the organization, the identification of the current situation and competitive position in the market of recruitment services, the conclusion that the analysed business is currently at the stable stage with the elements of stagnation is made.

The application of the approach, developed by I. Adizes, helped to reveal and analyse the existing abnormal problems, that affect the business destructively, it is shown that the key problem of the organization that was unnoticed on the stage of infancy, is the focus on a product, service or customer, that provides the highest income to the company. The problem was missed at the beginning and it became abnormal (product improvement without orientation to the market), passing through the stages of rapid growth ("Go-Go"), "Infancy" and "Adolescence".

The main recommendations for the strategic development are described in the paper. According to the recommendations, the management of the company needs to:

maintain and develop the selection of personnel as a key activity, as the highest rate of development prospects and competitive advantages is related to it;

expand the client base to move from reliance on foreign contractors to domestic companies;

make at attempt to generate a competitive advantage in the new segment, based on the high level of service quality;

develop e-recruitment methods of recruitment, as the Internet has become the most common tool for personnel selection;

gradually enter the market of training and staff development, adaptation to the requirements of employers, especially, the formation of foreign languages and intercultural communication skills;

pay considerable attention to the selection of personnel for the positions with the highest percentage of turnover (sales, logistics, engineering and technical direction);

consider a gradual decrease of the activity of the company, concerning outsourcing functions related to hr administration and payroll.

The implementation of these recommendations for the future development will allow, in accordance with the concept of I. Adizes, to enhance innovative and entrepreneurial features of management of the organization, to move from the stage of stagnation, to return to the stage of prime and to overcome the abnormal problems.
