<p><strong>Background of the study</strong></p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Historically, the term&nbsp;prosocial behavior&nbsp;has been used only since the 1970s. Social scientists began using the term as an antonym for&nbsp;antisocial behavior. A body of research evolved to illuminate the psychology of giving, helping, and sharing. The field of social psychology emerged as a discipline in the early 1900s, and focused primarily on the most pressing concerns of the day: the rise of Nazism, the world wars, the Holocaust, the proliferation of nuclear arms, and racism. However, in the 1960s the significance of helping behaviors and their psychological motivations became of great interest. The understanding of prosocial behavior was recognized as being key to harmonious interpersonal and group relations.</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Currently there are a lot of literature dedicated to the study of motives and factors of helping behavior. A huge number of theories on the causes why people have a volition to help others or not, but there are not enough data about the impact of acceptance acts and rendering help to further develop relations between the partners.</p><p><strong>Problem statement</strong></p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;There is a set of facts that need psychological interpretation. It is necessary to observe psychological mechanisms hidden behind the acts of acceptance and rendering help&nbsp;&nbsp; and determine their effect on the assessing different business and social characteristics of the partner.</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The given work is generalization of theoretical data on the above described problematic directed on reception of the authentic empirical data, capable to throw light on the reasons of rendering help, and also definition of a role of various personal factors affecting an assessment of business and social characteristics of the helper and beneficiary.</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;These results can be used in order to describe the behavior of people or to formulate simple tips on how to make the communication more effective.</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Relevance of the paper is highlighted by the fact that this issue will improve the effectiveness of communication between people in common activity. Elucidation of what particular psychological mechanisms lead to real action, the possibility to get help for for development of complete programs directed on development of motivation to helping activity in people, both on individual, and at the state level.</p><p><strong>The general purpose of this study is:</strong></p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; To identify impact of individual personality characteristics on helping behavior in connection with the acts of acceptance and rendering help and to assess different business and social characteristics of the partner.</p><p><strong>The general hypothesis of the study:</strong></p><ol><li>There is interrelationship between the acts of accepting and offering help and assessing different helper&rsquo;s and beneficiary&rsquo;s business and social characteristics.</li></ol><p><strong>Consequential hypothesis:</strong></p><p style="margin-left:26.25pt;">1.1&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;In the act of offering help the social characteristics of the partner, become&nbsp; more significant than &nbsp;business ones.</p><p style="margin-left:26.25pt;">1.2&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;In the act of rendering help the business characteristics of the partner&rsquo;s, become more significant than the social ones.</p><p style="margin-left:3.75pt;">2. Personal characteristics mediate the link between the acts of acceptance and rendering help and various social and business characteristics of the interaction partner.</p><p style="margin-left:22.5pt;">2.1&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;There is a relationship between ability to prosocial activities and assessments of the helper&rsquo;s and beneficiary&rsquo;s&nbsp; &nbsp;business and social characteristics .</p><p style="margin-left:22.5pt;">2.2&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;High degree on the scale &quot;Faith in the competitive world&quot; influences &nbsp;the perception of the helper&rsquo;s and beneficiary&rsquo;s &nbsp;social and business characteristics.</p><p style="margin-left:22.5pt;">2.3&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;High degree on the scale &quot;Faith in a dangerous world&quot; influences &nbsp;the perception of social and business characteristics of the helper and beneficiary.</p><p style="margin-left:22.5pt;">2.4&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;A level of empathy influences &nbsp;assessment of social and business characteristics of the helper and beneficiary.</p><p><strong>Professional significance of the study</strong></p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The investigation will be of primary significance to psychologists and everyone who is interested in prosocial behaviour. There is no doubt that prosocial human behavior is specific and can be caused by different motives and leads to different aftermath.</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; This research may have important practical implications for those who are interested in understanding communication between acts of acceptance and rendering help and an estimation of business and social characteristics of partners in interaction. Results will allow to raise efficiency of interpersonal interaction within the limits of realization of any general activity. Besides it will be possible to study what psychological mechanisms stand up for acts of acceptance and rendering help and how they influenced on the further development of attitudes between people.</p>
