The research helps to illuminate the pride understanding by children. To discover the development of children’s understanding of pride, we will present children (4 to 6 years old, N = 54) photographs with typical pride and joy display and stories with situations manifestations of pride and joy. We will assign a level of understanding of pride on 3 aspects: verbalization, designation causes and recognizing. We believe that the majority of 4-6 year-old children will not be able to name and recognize the correct sense of pride during the primary study. After reading the tales we expect to see the increasing of pride understanding for at least in one aspect. Through our research, we can find out which tools are efficient to develop understanding of certain aspects of pride. This study could provide impetus for the development programs designed to help teachers and parents in bringing up children.
