Key words: </strong>Inventory management, inventory management model, the fixed size of the order, a fixed interval of time between orders, ABC-XYZ analysis</p><p>Company stocks are one of the issues in logistics, which sets direct impact on the competitiveness of the company, its financial results and financial condition. No company can provide a high level of product quality and reliability of supply without an effective inventory management system.</p><p>The aim of this work is to develop an effective inventory management system and improve the efficiency of logistics of trading company - one of the largest companies in Russia. To achieve this goal the following objectives are set:</p><p>1. To analyze the company&#39;s business, to analyze key business functions and processes, the market on which the company operates, to identify problem areas in the company, formulate problems related to inventory management.</p><p>2. To analyze the modern concept of inventory management, identify a methodology that can be used in inventory management concept</p><p>3. To develop an effective inventory management system and reorganize the organizational structure of the company</p><p>4. Conduct a feasibility study of these changes</p><p>In bachelor final work inventory management concept was developed and its effectiveness for the company was assessed.
