The Influence of Vodka Consumption on Personal Income of Russian Population

<p>It is widely known that large vodka consumption is one of the most serious problems in Russia. In this paper we identify exact effects that vodka has on personal income of individuals in Russia. We use panel data obtained from the Russian Longitudinal Monitoring Survey. Results of the research are mostly consistent with past works. Overall, we get that vodka consumption has strong negative effect on personal income of Russian population, which in turn decreases Russian national income.</p>
