Today information resources are an essential element to maintain the educational process and the functioning of the educational institution. In Higher School of Economics, the access to information resources partially implemented through the Learning Management System. However, due to certain limitations, at the moment it is not possible to distribute information resources such as software and large-sized educational files. Therefore the problem of publication of such information resources appears.The main aim is to create a web application to manage educational content of HSE. This will use the platform of Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 running on the corporate website of the Higher School of Economics. The following tasks were pointed to reach current aim:1. Summarize the key concepts related to information resources.2. Analyze the data needed to work with information resources in university.3. Modeling business processes AS-IS and TO-BE of students and HSE staff receiving published information resources.4. Overview necessary functions to implement MS SharePoint web application.5. Develop a data model for the web application.6. Implementing web application using MS SharePoint platform.7. Development program documentation.The paper presents a data model that uses both SQL tables and built-in SharePoint lists. They store information about the published information resources and links to resources themselves, which are distributed by the dedicated web server. Authorization in a web application uses the authentication information, which is already used in the network of HSE by students and staff.The bases of web application are web parts and workflows of SharePoint. For a custom user interface web application uses standard web part to view lists and for administration purposes a custom web part was programmed using MS Visual Studio. Appearance of web application is a standard interface with the SharePoint ribbon control, ASP.NET master pages and page content.The result of this work is a fully functioning web application running on SharePoint platform, which allows students and staff of HSE to get authorized access to information resources, and also provides a tool for web application administrator to manage those resources.

Student Theses at HSE must be completed in accordance with the University Rules and regulations specified by each educational programme.

Summaries of all theses must be published and made freely available on the HSE website.

The full text of a thesis can be published in open access on the HSE website only if the authoring student (copyright holder) agrees, or, if the thesis was written by a team of students, if all the co-authors (copyright holders) agree. After a thesis is published on the HSE website, it obtains the status of an online publication.

Student theses are objects of copyright and their use is subject to limitations in accordance with the Russian Federation’s law on intellectual property.

In the event that a thesis is quoted or otherwise used, reference to the author’s name and the source of quotation is required.
