<p>Features of Russian cities&rsquo; visual aspects can be explained by the specifics of economic structure in Soviet era and corresponding everyday life practices, related to household organization. Latest changes stimulated the transformation of urban space and such elements of joint household as dacha and garage are now losing or getting different functions with an influence on social and cultural development. In this paper we shall analyze the background of mentioned elements and their role city life.&nbsp;</p>
