Corporate culture as a means of achieving synergy in international business development on the example of French companies, operating in Russia

<p>Achieving synergy in international business development is an up-to-date and highly discussed topic within the field of knowledge of international management. Corporate culture plays an essential role in this process, because its successful implementation in a host country contributes to the company&rsquo;s efficient operations in the country and may even increase its productivity, creating synergy. The objective of this research is to determine how to achieve this type of synergy and what factors are the most important in the success of a company&rsquo;s corporate culture in a host country. Companies headquartered in France and having subsidiaries and their own production facilities in Russia, from automotive, tyres, pharmaceutical and food industries were analyzed for the purposes of this study. The Delphi method consisting of two tours, combined with an online survey were used to achieve the main conclusion of the study: a strong corporate culture is the most important factor in achieving cultural effectiveness in a host country.</p>
