<p><strong>The abstract of <span data-align="12:24">master&#39;s</span> <span data-align="25:44">thesis</span>: &quot;<span data-align="47:69">Workers&rsquo; needs </span><span data-align="70:71">in</span> <span data-align="72:81">mastering </span><span data-align="82:99">professional</span> <span data-align="100:118">knowledge and skills</span> <span data-align="119:155">and social mechanisms of mastering them in Russian business</span> <span data-align="176:189">organizations&quot;</span></strong></p><p>In the thesis author analyzes knowledge needs of the members of Russian business organizations in different forms, &nbsp;available to them social mechanisms of acquisition of knowledge, measuring value of different categories of knowledge, and also paying attention to the study of the role and motives of the mentors. On the main research questions author makes a comparison between organizations with different types of capital, different regional affiliation and level of prestige. Also there is a comparison between the two represented groups of employees, professionals and managers.</p><p>The aim of this work is to learn &nbsp;needs of employees in the organizational knowledge and available social mechanisms of mastery, depending on the type of organization and the category of employees.</p><p>The objects of the study are employees and social mechanisms for the acquisition of knowledge in the Russian business organizations<br />Subject of research: the acquisition of knowledge workers in the organization; the availability and diversity in organizations social mechanisms for mastering them.</p><p>Main Research questions:</p><p>1. Workers&rsquo; needs in different types of knowledge and motivation for their production</p><p>2. The role of knowledge in workers&rsquo; activities, significance of knowledge</p><p>3. Training and other forms of realization of the need for the acquisition of knowledge</p><p>4. Mentoring, motivation for becoming a mentor</p><p>The empirical basis is the data of a study conducted in 2012 by the Centre for study of social organization of firm, faculty of management, HSE, &ldquo;Social factors and mechanisms of career advancement leaders in Russian business organizations&rdquo;, under the leadership of A.G. Efendiyev.</p><p>Structurally, the work consists of introduction, two chapters and conclusion. The first chapter is devoted to theoretical analysis of world literature and the problem statement, the second chapter is dedicated to an analysis of empirical data. Scope of the thesis is 60 pages, including 24 tables.</p>
