Second, the thesis analyzes the periods of Jewish immigration to the USA and the history of the establishment of the American Jewish community. Additionally, the thesis characterizes the socio-demographic status of the contemporary American Jewish community. Third, the thesis shows how Judaism, as well as American Jewish Liberalism and American Jewish Conservatism assist in shaping electoral and other political preferences among Jewish Americans. The thesis concludes that the factors of religion and ideology are crucial for the Jewish vote.
