Peter’s I Reforms in the Educational Field: Causes, Characteristics and Results. Material for the Students

The purpose of the study is to provide for the practical tasks of students in the course "History of Russia" on the theme "The reforms of Peter the Great in the field of education." Tasks: • Identify features of studying in the historiography of the causes, characteristics and results of the reforms of Peter the Great in the field of education; • undertake a systematic analysis of the sources of the selected item and select the material in order to create practical tasks; • to create a bank of historical tasks for the research work of students in history classes and in extracurricular activities. The research methodology is based on the principles of objectivity, historicism and integrated approach to solving research problems. On the basis of the research for the 10-11 grade students created jobs within the course "History of Russia" on the theme "The reforms of Peter the Great in the field of education." Revealed the least studied questions about the forms of household formation and characteristics of private schools, on the acquisition of knowledge through social networks and learning through mentoring. The research materials can be used in lessons on the history of Russian education and culture in the first quarter of the XVIII century in a school course on the history of Russia for 10-11-graders in the classroom of special courses, the preparation of research and design work. . This study allows to characterize the reforms of Peter I in the field of education, to explain the reasons for the opening of schools, sending nobles to study abroad, to give an idea of the results of Peter's education policy. Review of historical sources, which are based on the majority of studies on the subject, can be recommended for use in a school course epistolary sources, sources of personal origin, along with the legal papers, tutorials first quarter of XVIII century and the periodical press materials.
