Medieval Novgorod and Pskov Republics in the School Educational and Methodical Literature

This work explores the content of the educational methodical and didactic school literature on the development of civil society, the rule of law, democratic institutions, based on the example of Novgorod and Pskov medieval republics. Evaluation the effectiveness of their operation, the values in the economic and the political development of the country. The influence of political considerations, social order in the selection of facts and their interpretation in teaching metodical literature of Soviet and post-Soviet period. As a result, there are following conclusions: the theme of Novgorod-Pskov land in methodological and didactic literature in high demand throughout the Soviet and post-Soviet periods, volumetrically, presented discreetly. Of course, that the theme was influenced by different factors: political, the degree of scientific knowledge, recognition of the Soviet historical science those or other conceptual approaches.
