Relations between Taiwan and the Chinese mainland are closely intertwined interests of various political forces. The paper deals with the Kuomintang in a particular historical time interval from 2000 to 2015. Focused position of several countries, in a concentrated form reflecting the national interests of the two sides of the Taiwan Strait. We consider political processes taking place in the Kuomintang, and the influence of the print media on the part of the ruling regime and censorship.
