The Impact of Diversification of Energy Sources in the EU on Russian Export

The main purpose of this study is the assessment of impact of the diversification of energy sources in the EU countries on Russian gas exports. The study explores the EU gas market, considers the current gas suppliers as well as alternative energy sources. Taking into account the current trend to reduce the EU's dependence on Russian gas, considers potential alternative suppliers of gas to Europe, as well as alternative buyers of gas from Russia, as a substitute of the EU gas market. To understand the real possibilities for refusal of Russian gas in the medium-term is constructed forecast model of energy demand in 2025 and displayed scenarios of gas imports from Russia that show the volume of deliveries of Russian gas which can be replaced by alternative supplier countries.
