The Role and Place of Law in the Major Legal Systems of Today

The purpose of the master's work is to study the role and place of law in the various legal systems of modernity. The purpose of the master's work is to study the role and place of law in the various legal systems of modernity. The objectives of the work consist of giving a general description of the principal legal systems of modern times; considering the system of sources of law in various legal families; determination the location of sources of law in the system; identification the main sources of law in modern legal systems; defination the role of law in the legal systems of today and in the legal system of the Russian Federation; identification problems in this sphere and proposition possible solutions. In the result of this work problem was isolated which concerns differences in the understanding of the law and other sources of law. It can be not only a source of friction between the two countries, but also cause the deceleration in their development. To avoid the strong influence of tradition on the formation of the legal system, the reformers need to integrate them, to borrow the best in others. So it is possible to create the most effective and functional modern legal system through the merger of the traditional legal systems, taking into account the characteristics and traditions of a particular society and the role of law.
