Development of Recommendations for Improving the Effectiveness of Information Security in a Corporate Data Network

Theme of dissertation is — "Development of Recommendations for Improving the Effectiveness of Information Security in a Corporate Data Network." Keywords: information security, corporate data network, modular architecture, network threats, risk analysis, recommendations. The object of the study: corporate data network of scientific and industrial holding company "Association of K". The subject of the study: methods and tools to improve the efficiency of information security in a distributed network infrastructure. Objective: To generate a list of specific recommendations, the implementation of which will improve the level of enterprise information security. The problems solved during the execution of the work:  the analysis of the theoretical aspects of information security in corporate networks of data transmission;  the study of typical protection mechanisms of the modules that make up the local area network;  the description of the IT infrastructure of the enterprise under consideration;  the information security risk analysis of enterprise under consideration;  the development of recommendations on increase of safety level and assessment of their effectiveness. To implement the goals and objectives of the current study used the world's manufacturers of network equipment and software in the field of information security of corporate networks, as well as the knowledge and experience of renowned professionals in information security. To achieve practical results was used the assessment tool security Microsoft Security Assessment Tool. As a result of analysis of the current level of corporate enterprise infrastructure security, made recommendations, the practical significance of which is to raise this level to a value corresponding to the actual risks of information security.
