The Evolution of the US-ROK`s Political - Military Cooperation in 1998-2015

In this research I am going to study the evolution of the US-ROK military and political cooperation during 1998-2015 and its influence on political processes in East Asia. The object of the research is the military and political cooperation between the USA and South Korea. The subjects of the research are the problems in the development of the cooperation between two countries in 1998-2015. The purpose of this study is to find out the main factors that affect the bilateral relations in the military and political cooperation in a mentioned time period. In order to achieve this it is necessary to solve the following tasks: - To define the US role in the foreign policy of the ROK; - To identify the factors that influence the development of bilateral relations after Kim Daejung became a president of South Korea; - To find out American influence on the development of inter-Korean dialogue; - To identify the main contradictions in the US-ROK military and political cooperation. This work contains forty-five pages, consists of Introduction, two chapters and Bibliography.
