Extrimist Crime: Criminological Characteristics

The theme of this work: "The extremist crimes: criminological characteristics." In the course of the study the general aspects of the problem of extremism were examined, as well as the causes and conditions of the existence of this type of crime and also specific measures of preventing extremism in Russian and the statistical data obtained from official sources. The work is divided into two chapters: "Extremism as a socio-legal phenomenon" and "Modern political extremism in Russia." The first chapter deals with general provisions of extremism as a phenomenon in general and its historical background. The work used a variety of methods based on interdisciplinarity of the object. At the end of the first chapter the criminological characteristics of crimes of an extremist nature is presented. The number of crimes committed by extremist in Russia steadily growing every year, which, of course, preceded by a number of economic, social and political reasons. The second chapter is devoted to political extremism and extremist crimes in Russia. The chapter also describes the measures to counter political extremism, as well as the role of criminal law legislation to combat this dangerous phenomenon. We should understand that persons carrying such extremist activities that seriously threatened to be protected by the Constitution of the Russian citizens' rights and values, often seek to achieve their goals, not at all for fear of punishment, engaging in a fierce struggle with the police "not to life and to death. " Given these particular crimes of an extremist nature, the main focus of the study was done precisely to the social, political and economic causes of extremism, as well as those on countermeasures, which could eliminate the reasons therefor, and improve the general social environment in Russia.
