The Reasons for Improving U.S.-Cuba Relations

This paper is dedicated to the topic of the U.S.-Cuba affairs in the context of their improvement that started in December of 2014. The paper reveals fundamental reasons which catalyzed this positive shift. The author analyzes historic logic of the evolution of the bilateral relations, shows the positive changes that occured in 2014-2015 and also studies the major pitfalls on the way of the further normalization. Considering the causes that contributed to the positive shifts in the U.S.-Cuba affairs, the author refers to three groups of factors which are international, regional and national aspects.
