The Impact of Market Rates on the Amount of Commercial Bank Deposits

This study examines the relationship of the deposit portfolio of commercial bank from the deposit rates of different groups of banks. Author used data obtained from information about changes deposit rates of commercial banks, information on the deposit portfolio of a large commercial bank and public data from CBR website for 2015-2016. As a tool of econometric analysis was used least squares method. The work proved materiality of enabling "difference in deposit rates" variable into the portfolio analysis model and revealed the dependence of the deposit portfolio of individuals' rates of attraction of competing banks.
