The Main Directions of Spanish Foreign Policy of 21st Century: the Russian Vector

This thesis presents the evolution of Russian-Spanish relations since the beginning of 21st century viewed as divided into two stages–the strong relations at the start ending in being stagnant. The paper gives a brief historical overview followed by an analysis of the political, economic, security and cultural aspects of the bilateral relations. Finally, an attempt is made at defining the main features of these relations and four scenarios for their development in the foreseeable future.
