This paper examines firm export behavior under exchange rate changes depending on import share in total costs of the firm. I use Russian State Customs Declarations for years 2008-2011 to create export and import real effective exchange rates for more than 80 industries. Using estimator which allows to control for fixed effects and error clustering I find that firms with various import shares in total firm costs differently adjust volume of export in total firm revenues in response to exchange rate change. Firm productivity is also found to be important. Robustness checks with different approaches to estimation confirm results of the main estimation.
